Ephesians 6:4 instructs fathers to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered environment for like-minded families that have chosen to home educate their children. We are blessed to support families in this endeavor by providing classes taught from the Christian perspective and other resources/activities necessary to assist parents in achieving a balanced education for their students with an emphasis on character, excellence, and creativity.
LCA operates as a ministry of New Life Baptist Church but is open to all active protestant Christians. It’s designed to provide training, support and guidance to LCA homeschool families in achieving God’s mandate.
Because Scripture tells us that God has given parents the primary responsibility for the education of their children (e.g. Deuteronomy 6:7; Ephesians 6:4), LCA believes that parents have the freedom to educate each child individually. Thus, LCA does not dictate curriculum or pace of learning, but trusts parents to choose how to raise up their children.
LCA is located just north of Madison in Harvest, AL. LCA offers drop-off classes along with several methods of support to homeschool families with children in grades K-12.
LCA provides enrichment activities for younger students to expand on what the parents teach at home, while providing opportunities to develop social skills in new environments. LCA also offers core and elective course for high school students.
With 35 families, LCA began in June of 1996. After two decades of serving the north Alabama community, LCA is currently home to over 80 families with children of all ages. Contact us if you are interested in joining our school.
