What is required of full time members?

This is not an all inclusive list but covers some of LCA’s most important requirements:

  • Adherence to LCA policies and guidelines in regards to record keeping, meetings, attendance, activities and dress code as explained in the LCA Member Manual.
  • Three meetings a year with assigned team coordinator to discuss progress and to receive encouragement and prayerful support.
  • Keep basic records that show progress throughout the year including subject progression and attendance.
  • Participation in assigned team’s project
  • At least one parent to participate in standardized testing assistance
  • Students in 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th grade are required to participate in standardized testing annually. LCA offers a wide variety of on-site testing including accommodated tests.
  • Attend up to two mandatory parent meetings per year

This may seem like a lot but rest assured your team coordinator will be there to help you and your family out every step of the way!

Do I, as a member, have to teach?

Teaching is not required at LCA. But if you have a passion you’d enjoy sharing with the students we’d love to hear about it! Class applications are collected in January so the class schedule can be completed by March.
